आजचे ऑफ दे रेकॉर्ड–बातमी मागची बातमी !

आज मुंबई ‘मिड-डे’ मध्ये प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या लेखात शिवसेनेचे पदाधिकारी कसे पैसे घेऊन तिकीट वाटप करतात याबद्दल पुराव्यासहित बातमी आहे. आगामी महानगरपालिकेच्या निवडणुकीत प्रत्येकच कार्यकर्त्याला तिकीट हवे असून, आता या घोडेबाजाराला जोर आला आहे. हिंदुत्व, या एकमेव मुद्द्यावर शिवसेनेने आजपर्यंत महानगरपालिकेवर भगवा फडकावलाय. त्याच बरोबर मनसे या पक्षाने सुद्धा याच (मराठी व हिंदुत्व) एका मुद्द्यावर आपले नगरसेवक व आमदार निवडूण आणली आहेत. आजच्या या बातमीवर मी फारसे आश्चर्य वाटून घेतले नाही. दोन्ही पक्ष प्रमुखांचा तिकीट देताना, किंवा चुकून माकून निवडूण आलात, तरीही फक्त “इनकमिंग” वरच भार असतो. आजतागायत तरी मला एकही नगरसेवक किंवा आमदाराने “वरून मदत आलीय” असे सांगणारा सापडला नाहीय. मराठी अस्मिता आणि बाळासाहेबांची पुण्याई या दोनच मुद्द्यांवर शिवसेनेने यश संपादन केलाय. पण किती दिवस हे चालणार? मुंबई मध्ये पोलीस स्टेशन नसेल तरीही चालेल पण ‘शाखा’ हव्यात या जेष्ठ पत्रकार भाऊ तोरसेकरांच्या वाक्यावर मी १००% सहमत आहे. अहो, पण हि कशी इच्छुकांची पिळवणूक? मला माहीत नाही बाळासाहेबांच्या वेळेला तिकीट वाटप कसे होत होते, पण हे मात्र निश्चित माहीत आहे, कि बाळासाहेबांनी दुसरी फळी मात्र निश्चित तयार केली होती. मनोहर जोशी, लीलाधर डाके, सुभाष देसाई, दिवाकर रावते, नारायण राणे, छगन भुजबळ असे कितीतरी माणसे बाळासाहेबांनी तयार केली व मोठी केलीत. शिवसेना मजबूत केली. आज तुम्ही मला सांगा, उद्धवजी यांच्या उपकर्णधार कोण? दुसरी फळीतले नेते कोण? मिलिंद नार्वेकर? आहो ते साधे पीए आहेत! मग कार्यकर्ता कसे पैसे कमावणार? निवडणूक लढ्याला पैसा हा लागतोच. जो हे मानत नाही तो संभ्रमात जगात आहे. मग कोणी अश्या प्रकारे जमा करतो व त्याची शाखा व दहशत कायम राखतो. यात गैर काय ?

हो, मुंबई महानगरपालिका त्यातल्या त्यात स्वछ नगरपालिका म्हणून घेता येईल. याचे श्रेय मात्र मी उद्धवजींना नाही देणार. श्रेय फक्त मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांचे! स्थायी समितीचे अध्यक्ष यशोधर फणसे यांनी गेल्या आठवड्यात मुंबई मिररला मुलखात दिली होती. स्वतः त्यांनी हि कबुली दिली आहे कि, आमची कामे वर बसणारा बाबू करत नाही. वर बाबू कोण आहे? ते आहेत मनपा आयुक्त अजय मेहता व त्यांचे अतिरिक्त आयुक्त डॉ. पल्लवी दराडे, डॉ. संजय देशमुख, इद्रिस कुंदन व संजय मुखर्जी. आपसात जरीही यांचे जमत नसले तरी, मात्र मनपा मध्ये गैरव्यवहार होऊ द्यायचा नाही असा यांनी नियमच केल्याचे आढळते. स्वतः मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या मर्जीतले माणसे आहेत ही. मग कसे करप्शन होणार? एखादी चूक जर केली असती ना यांनी, तुम्ही लोक तुटूनच पडले असता यांच्यावर…मुंबईच्या महापौर स्न्हेल आंबेकर यांनी रास्ता घोटाळा मांडला खरा, अहो पण मग याच ६ कंत्राटदारांना कसे काय पुन्हा कंत्राटी मिळतात ? फणसे म्हणतात वरचे सही करत नाही, मग का हा तपास तसाच पडला आहे? असो. उद्धवजी, मला फार वर्षां पूर्वी एका आयएएस अधिकारी ज्या इथे मनपा मध्ये कार्यरत होत्या, त्यांनी सांगितले होते, कि जर आम्ही मनपाने आखलेल्या बजेट प्रमाणे खर्च केला असता तर आज मुंबईचे रस्ते हे चांदीचे असते. मी तर म्हणतो, मुंबई मधला प्रत्येक माणसाला काही न काही निमित्ताने दररोजचे काम मनपाशी पडत असते. एक सर्वे घ्या. जर त्यांनी सांगितले कि विना पैसे देऊन आमची कामे होतात, तर खरंच सांगतो, पत्रकारितेला राम राम ठोकेल !

भौ, मला ना या मुंबई मिरर पेपर वर भरवसाच राहिला नाही. जरा मागच्या महिन्याची आवृत्ती काढून बघा. तेव्हा हाच पत्रकार ओरडून सांगत होता, कि आगामी निवणुकीत युती होणार नाही, आणि आज मात्र युती होणार असल्याची बातमी लिहितो. एकतर या पत्रकाराला स्वतः अर्धवट ज्ञान आहे किंवा याचे संपादक वाचकाच्या भावनांशी खेळत आहेत.
4. Paying service charge at eateries is your call
मुद्दा आहे, हॉटेल मध्ये येणाऱ्या बिल संबंधी. त्यात हे हॉटेल मालक जर तुम्ही बारकाईने बघितले तर “सर्विस चार्जे” म्हणून आपल्याकडून ५% ते २०% पर्यंत एकूण बिलच्या अमाऊंटवर हा कर घेतात. हा कर तुम्हाला दिलेल्या सर्विस बद्दल असतो. आपल्या भाषेत याला टीप असे म्हणतात. पण आता सर्वोच न्यायालयाने या कारवार निर्बंध लावली आहेत. जर तुम्हाला सर्विस आवडली नसेल तर, तुम्ही हा चार्जे भरू नका असे आज पेपर मध्ये वाचले. अमेरिकेत मात्र हा सर्विस चार्जे घेणे बंधनकारक आहे. एकूण बिलचे १०% देणे कंपलसरी असते. एन.एच.आर.आय चे अध्यक्ष रियाज अमालनी यांनी मात्र कर कसा योग्य आहे याबद्दल बोलताना सांगितले कि हा चार्जे असतो, तुम्ही हॉटेल मध्ये आल्यावर व गेल्यानंतरचा. आमचा माणूस तुमची भांडी उचलतो, किंवा तुम्ही बसले असताना तेथे जेवण आणतो, मग तीच भांडी दुसरा माणूस धुतो या सगळवार त्याला “बक्षीस” मिळाले पाहिजे. त्याकरिता हा कर. पण रियाज भाई, या सगळ्या साठी तुम्ही त्याला पगार देता कि? तुम्ही नियामाप्रमणे जर पगार दिला तर त्या माणसाला टीपची जास्त अपेक्षा होणार नाही. टीप हा पर्सनल मामला आहे. ती कृपया लादू नये. जर भरायची असेल तरच भरू. उद्या आम्ही गाडीत पेट्रोल भरल्यावर गाडी मध्ये पेट्रोल टाकणारा सर्विस चार्जे मागेल कि?
5. धर्म, जात, भाषेच्या नावावर मते मागता येणार नाहीत-सर्वोच्च न्यायालय
संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात याच एका मुद्दयांवर तर निवडणुका होतात. सर्वोच न्यायालयच्या सांगण्यावर थोडी आपली स्टाईल बदलणार. असे असते तर कोण हा ओवेसी, का संघाचं महत्व, का मराठे मोर्चे, का ओबीसीचे मोर्चे ? आहो, आपल्या महाराष्ट्रात जातीच्या नावाने लोक अन्न विकतात मग निवडणुका काय चीझ आहेत?

Today’s Mid-Day front page news exposes Shivsena’s dirty business of distributing tickets for the elections at the local level, this time for the upcoming BMC elections in Mumbai. Both the parties showcasing itself as the Hindu protector clan, Shivsena & the MNS, are known to be good to only who facilitate “incoming” of the funds to the party. They do not believe in supporting any MLA or corporator during elections financially. Ask anyone of them & they will swear by this on confidentiality clause. So technically both the parties do not believe in”outgoing”. It is just the “marathi” card these parties play it so extremely well and of course on the goodwill of the heroics done by the Late Balasaheb Thackrey & some of party veterans, that the show is going on. Money give and take existed earlier as well, but Balasaheb made people. Today Maharashtra saw Diwakar Raote, Subhash Desai, Manohar Joshi, Liladhar Dhake, Narayan Rane, Chagan Bhujbal only because it was Balasaheb Thackrey who made them. These people were like the vice-captains of the team. Balasaheb gave them name & opportunity in Maharashtra’s political scenario. This credit must be given. On other hand tell me one person who looks like a vice-captain to you who can guide the party in Uddhav Thackrey’s absence. Please don’t say Milind Narvekar. He is a PA. Period!

“महापौर सेनेचाच होणार” was the confidence Uddhav Thackrey showed in yesterdays speech at the BMC headquarters in presence of the CM. Personally if you ask me, I have always said Mumbai will survive anything & everything only if every area of our city has Shivsena Shakas. We don’t even need a police station then. But with the current scenario and the scams unearthing, Sena needs to do the damage control of its image and retain the confidence of Mumbaikars, else it will true that a person from Nagpur came & conquered Mumbai.
3. BJP, Shiv Sena may still go in for alliance-Mumbai Mirror
Either the reporter of this paper forgets what he writes earlier or the management (editorial ) team uses the paper to keep on confusing its readers. Sometimes the paper claims that Shivsena & BJP will go solo and today the headlines is screaming of going in alliance. What is this?
4. Paying service charge at eateries is your call
Yes, absolutely !! But the argument put forth by NRAI’s Riyaz Amlani is also worth a read. He says the service charge is for the service the people put in after you leave the restaurants. Service Charge is for clearing the tables & washing the dishes & getting the food to your table. But Riyaz, one thing need to understand, if for these services you asking for Service Charge, then another argument put forth is aren’t these guys been paid well then; as it is their duty to perform the above. If the employees of a restaurant are not happy with the pay or the employer is not paying them as per the norms, definitely the service charge matter will stand in the court. But one section will argue in regard to the extra payments. If the payments are as per norms & every person is well paid then no need for the tip (service charge). In USA it is compulsory that 10% of the bill amount is to be charged as service charge. Tomorrow you go to petrol station and once the person fills up your tank, as per law, even we must give them their service charge isn’t it?
5. धर्म, जात, भाषेच्या नावावर मते मागता येणार नाहीत-सर्वोच्च न्यायालय
Is it? But I thought people like Owaisi & Maratha leaders here in Maharashtra this is their trump card for any election. If this rule is followed it will definitely help in choosing the best candidate be it of any caste & creed.
