OFF THE RECORD review on some of headlines…
1. Mallikarjun Kharge, Vishwajit Kadam & Brahmins…
Mallikarjun Kharge incharge of INC Maharashtra has proved once again why he is the big fish when it comes to taking decisions in Maharashtra Congress. It was after his green signal that Balasaheb Thorat got the nod to head Congress in the state. But now, lately it has been observed and heard in the corridors of power that Kharge is in no mood to uplift Brahmins of his party. In the recent reshuffle when Thorat was appointed as the President of Congress in Maharashtra, and others Working President posts were filled, Kharge did justice with the OBC’s, Muslims, Maratha’s (Bhai Jagtap will soon be getting the good news) of the party. But he has avoided Brahmins to get elevated in the party. Kharge saab, I know Congress is a very secular party, but Brahmins in your party are gossiping of getting ill treatment from you. Also, forget Brahmin’s, your one Maratha leader is thinking of shifting loyalties. Vishwajit Kadam, son of ex Minister Patangrao and son-in-law of Avinash Bhosale has often been cited in the company of MLC and Minister Parinay Fuke of the BJP and mostly they meet at Chandrakant Patil’s bunglow and zoom in laters car nowadays. Everyone knows Avinash Bhosale enjoys good relations with CM Fadnavis too, but loosing Kadam at this juncture I think reached your ears and you made him the working president after skipping bigwigs like Harshvardhan Patil & Amit Deshmukh who are merely another loners at the Tialk Bhavan. From Deshmukh, I recollect, when Amit came up to you with a certain candidate to be chosen from the Latur consituteny you just insulted him and went ahead with your own choice who lost with a huge margin. All said & done, Mr. Kharge, Deshmukh’s of Latur cannot be avoided, and yes, keep a check on your Brahmin leaders–nowadays, Devendra Fadnavis is on a shopping spree.
2. Chandrakantdada Patil as State President & Mangal Prabhat Lodha as City President.
This is what Devendra Fadnavis is all about. Clipping wings. Whilst Ranjit Patil was forefront in the race to become the Maharashtra President for the BJP, his daughters marriage to Pratap Sarnaik’s son must have created some hustle bustle in CM’s mind. Hence “patta” cut. But now appointing Chandrakant dada is a great move or again clipping wings? Chandrakant Patil has handled Revenue & the PWD (the most corrupt departments otherwise) and now with this new responsibility will the No 2 and Amit Shah “da ladlaa” resign and help the party gain more stronger base in the state? Or will this arrangement of being the Minister & handling the party continue? Also Chandrakant Patil has been the only Minister in the cabinet of Fadnavis who never TRIED to go ahead of Fadnavis. Don’t ask me about corruption. Every Minister or a journalist climbing the stairs of Mantralaya are corrupt, the definition for many changes. Anyways, appointing Mangal Prabhat Lodha has to surely to do with clipping more wings of Sharad Pawar of the BJP_-Ashish Shelar. Now there are groups of MLA’s who supported Shelar and who were against Shelar. One MLA from Mumbai since last two days is said to be in Delhi outside JP Nadda’s office wanting to become the city chief, but in vain. With Lodha’s money power the whole equation of Mumbai BJP changes. Lodha is the most neglected BJP member till date I assume. Never has anyone had any close equations with him in the BJP including sitting MLA’s & Corporators. CM in this way by appointing Lodha has got his lost control of Mumbai in his own hands…Here Mohit Bhartiya is also doing a good job at the BJYM handling all the restaurants who were once troubled by a certain MLA in our suburbs. Impressed by this CM Fadnavis has given him the charge of the rallies slated to happen in August across Maharashtra.

3. 26 IAS transfers.
I’m done with this now. Forget Fadnavis, tomorrow even Indra bhagwan also walks down to Mantralaya and say’s to one officer–My friend you do your job for 3 years, no political pressure and nothing can come in the middle of your performance till you are eligible of transfer–I still will not believe. Majority here transfers happen if the MLA complains. I don’t know what to do with officers like Khushwah or Tuakram Mundhe’s or such other “head strong” officers. Now at Mhada if gossip is to be believed Chairman Uday Samant rattled CM’s brain to transfer Khushwah as the IAS refused to sign any file. But Uday ji, how can Navjivan School plot be transferred without verification just because a call came to you from Matoshri? Not done nah….But again look at the Channakya Fadnavis here. Uday Samant insisted on bringing Chandrakant Dange in place of Khushwah. CM has appointed another Khushwah namely Radhakrishnan B…See the changes in bureaucracy at the new Ministers. All new Ministers whom Fadnavis think have come for “3 month picnic” under everyone he has given Non-corrupt and straight forward officers. Forget “kamaai” these officers will not pass a single file without consulting apt people at the CSO & CMO. CSO, you heard it right…CM has brought power back to the CSO. He is making institutions strong…Governance will follow with institutions are backed up…
