OFF THE RECORD review of some of todays headlines….
1. Bandra’s illegal eateries & malls-BMC
बांद्रा येथील रॉयल चायना आणि महानगरपालिका या विषयावर गेल्या आठवड्यापासून टाईम्स ऑफ इंडिया आणि त्यांच्या पुरवण्यांनी केलेल्या कव्हरेज बद्दल अगदी मनापासून अभिनंदन. बांद्रा हे तसे आमच्या मुंबईतील प्रसिद्ध स्टेशन! फिल्मी लोकांचे वास्तव्य इथे असून बरेच श्रीमंत लोक पण येथे राहतात. आधीच्या काळात बांद्रा (पश्चिम) येथे ख्रिस्ती लोकांचे वास्तव्य होते. ते आता फक्त गावठाण भागात मर्यादित असून, अख्या बांद्रयावर आता मात्र मुस्लिम समाजाची चांगली पकड आहे. असो. चर्चेतील प्रकरण आहे ते रॉयल चायना या रेस्टॉरंटचे. आता मुजोरी बघा–गेल्या आठवड्यात मनपाने रॉयल चायनाचे बेकायदेशीर भाग तोडले. शनिवारी याच हॉटेलने मनपाची पाठ वळताच पुन्हा त्यांनी पुन्हा तोच पाडलेला भाग बांधला आणि व्यवसायाला सुरुवात केली. पुन्हा मनपा तेथे आली आणि परत तो भाग मनपाने तोडला. अगदी जिद्दीने मनपाने ही करावी केली. म्हणून जेवढे मानावे तेवढे त्यांचेही आभार कमीच! एरवी सेटलमेंट करणारे मनपा अधिकाऱ्यांनी बेकायदेशीर बांधकाम विरुद्ध केलेला हा निर्धार निश्चितच आश्चर्यकारक आहे. कारण काही वर्षांपूर्वीच “तवा” हॉटेल बद्दल मनपाने काय केले ते इथे वेगळी सांगण्याची गरज नाही. माझी लढाई ना नेहमचीच मानसिकतेच्या विरुद्ध असते. आपण नेहमी मानसिकता ओळखली पाहिजे. रॉयल चायनाच्या मालकांसारखे खूप लोक इथे व्यवसाय करतात. विचलित करणार्री हि मानसिकता आहे. कायद्याची आणि परिणामाची अजिबात इथल्या मुसलमान समाजाला भीतीच नाही. इथं लिंकिंग रोड वर किंवा हिल रोड वर जर तुम्ही पायी फिरलात तर तुम्हाला इथल्या भिकाऱ्याचा सुद्धा राग येईल. प्रचंड मुजोरीत जगतात. इथे साधा रस्त्यावर माल विकणारा सुद्धा दर दिवशी २५,००० रुपये घरी नेतो. कारण जगातून लोक इथे पर्चेसिंगला येतात. तर पैसे फिरतात. धंद्याला माझा विरोध नाही. इथल्या लोकांच्या मानसिकतेचा आहे. दोन प्रमुख कारणे मला इथे नमूद करण्यासारखी वाटतात- मुद्दा १— इथे वावरणारी तरुण पिढी किंवा पोर जे व्यवसाय करतात, ते इथे राहणाऱ्या “सलमान खानची” भक्त आहेत… त्यांच्या डोक्यात अशी कल्पना आहे, की जर “भाई” चं माणसे मारून सुद्धा कोणी काही उपटू शकत नाही तर आपण तर नुसतं नियमच तर तोडत आहोत; कोण काय करणार? आणि मुद्दा २--अति भ्रष्ट आणि जातीवादीच्या भरवशावर मोठे झालेले राजकारणी बाबा सिद्दीकी आणि प्रिया दत्त. इतकी वर्ष नुसते बेकायदेशीर हॉटेल्स, पब्स, रेस्टॉरंट आणि बांधकामांना प्रोहोत्सान देत असतांना ह्या मंडळींनी अख्ख्या बांद्र्याची वाट लावून टाकली. जिथे बघो तिथे बेकायदेशीर गोष्टी. प्रत्येक मोठ्या धंद्यात एकतर बाबा किंवा प्रियाची भागेदारी किंवा आशीर्वाद. प्रत्यक्ष किंवा अप्रत्येक्ष प्रत्येक बेकायदेशीर गोष्टींमध्ये यांचा सहभाग. पोरी सप्लाय करणारे किंवा सचिन अहिरच्या जीवावर उडी मारणारे काही छोटे राजकीय नेते सुद्धा इथे आहेत. अहो, पण हे पोरी सप्लाय करणारे किती असे “सिंह” आज घरी बसले ना? याचा त्रास मग जनतेला व्हयला लागला. रस्त्यावर टपोरीगिरी करणारे लोकांचा स्त्रियांनाही त्रास होऊ लागला. मग इथला सुशिक्षित मुस्लिम समाज, ज्यांना सगळं काळात होत पण नाईलाजाने भोगत होते, ते सगळे एकत्र आले आणि आशिष शेलारला प्रचंड मतांनी निवडून दिले. शेलार हे इथल्या मुस्लिम समाजामुळे विजयी झाले हे ते हि कधी नाकारणार नाहीत. आशिष शेलारांनी आता बर्याच गोष्टींवर आळा आणलाय. म्हणूनच रॉयल चायनावर ही कारवाई–नाहीतर पहिला काळ असता, तर नोटीस आपल्यावर न्यायालयात जायचे आणि स्टे ऑर्डर घेऊन पुन्हा राक्षसासारखे वगाचे. पण म्हणतात ना–आपल्याला इथेच सगळं भोगावं लागतं–स्वर्ग नरक काहीही नसतो– राजकीय करियर संपलेल्या बाबाच्या पोराला (झीशान) लंडनला का अचानक पाठवण्यात आले, यावर माहिती घेतली, तर राग सोडा, त्याच्यावर उलट कीव येईल.
2. Yuva Sena’s sainik leaving the party –Loksatta
आजची लोकसत्तेची बातमी वाचलीच असेल. युवा सेनेत तडा! आज युवा सेनेत फूट पडत आहे. लोक सोडून चाललीय. मूळ जो काही युवा सैनिक स्थापनेच्या वेळी होता, त्याला पक्ष आता दूर ठेवत असून, नुकत्याच आयात केलेल्या काही कार्यकर्ते आपल्या मर्जीने वागत असतानाचे चित्र समोर येत आहे. ही आयात केलेली मंडळी प्रमुख आदित्य ठाकरे यांच्या जवळ झाले असून आपल्यावर मनमानी कारभार करतात, असे काही नाराज युवा सैनिक एकट्यात बोलल्याचे कळते. आदित्य ठाकरेंचे लक्ष सध्या नुसत्या फिल्मी लोकांवर असून फक्त पश्चिम मुंबई इथेच युवा सेना लक्ष केंद्रित करत आहे, असेही काहींचे म्हणणे आहे. ठाण्यात सरनाईकांची पोरं का शांत झालीत किंवा आजच्या बातमीनुसार एक मोठा पदाधिकारी भाजपच्या वाटेवर का जात आहे, याबद्दल कोणी विचार करत नसून, सगळे मौन बाळगून आहेत . पक्ष बदलणे, येणे जाणे राजकारणात सुरु असत. प्रमुखांनी फारशी चिंता करायची नसते. पण कार्य मात्र सुरु ठेवायचे असते. छाप पाडावी लागते. युवा-सेनेमुळे येत्या मनपा निवडणुकीत फार कोणाला यश मिळाले नाही तर आश्चर्य करून घेऊ घेऊ नका. युवा-सेनेला शिवसेनेची अस्मिता कळायला अजून वेळ आहे. असो. माहितीनुसार राहुल कनाल नावाचा कार्यकर्ता आदित्य ठाकरे यांनी काँग्रेस मधून आणला. बाबा सिद्दीकीचा पंटर! पण राहुलने येताच बांद्रा पश्चिम जिथे काँग्रेसची जिथे इतकी वर्ष दादागिरी होती तिथे शिवसेनेला जिवंत केले. अश्या लोकांना जर आदित्य वाव देत असेल तर कौतुकच आहे, पण जर हे आपल्या मराठी युवा सैनिकांना खुपत असेल तर मग हे चुकीचं! राहुलची रेषा मिटवण्यागोदर, आपली रेषा कशी मोठी होईल याबद्दल विचार कार्यकर्त्यांनी केला पाहिजे!
3. हवालदार सुनील टोके: ट्रॅफिक मधील भ्रष्टाचाराचे रेटकार्ड चव्हाट्यावर
सुनील टोके तुम जियो हजारो साल !! आज लोकमत मध्ये टोके यांची मुलाखत वाचली. ट्रॅफिक मधला भ्रष्टाचार तंतोतंत टोकेनी मांडला आहे. शेवटी कुठून पण सहकार्य मिळत नसल्याने न्यायालयात त्याने धाव घेतली. पण याचा निकाल किंवा या प्रकरणाची क्रमानुसार मी पद्धत सांगतो–न्यायालय संपूर्ण प्रकरण राज्य शासनाकडे पाठवणार-आपले कर्तव्यशील मुख्यमंत्री एखादी समितीला आव्हल द्यायला सांगतील, तो पर्यंत वरिष्ठ ट्रॅफिक मधले अधिकारी टोकेची समजूत घालण्याची किंवा त्याला मॅनेज करण्याचे प्रयत्न करतील आणि शेवटी मीडिया (मॅनेज झाल्यावर) हे प्रकरण उचलून धरणार नाही. विषय रेंगाळत राहणार. झाले असे पाहिजे—-न्यायालयाने ताबडतोब यावर कारवाईचे आदेश राज्य शासनाला दिले पाहिजते– आपल्या मुखयमंत्र्यांनी योग्य रीतीने आणि तपासून दोषींवर सक्त कारवाई केली पाहिजे, तरच टोकेच्या प्रयत्नाला यश मिळेल- देवेंद्रजी असेच करतील अशी अशा आपण सर्वांनी बाळगावी… अरे कोणीतरी टोके आता त्या अन्न व औषध प्रशासनात लक्ष घाला हो… ते आयुक्त लै मजा मारून राहिले हो….
4. मराठा मोर्चा: लोकमत व इतर पेपर
अख्ख जग म्हणतय की मराठा मोर्चाचे आयोजन येत्या ३१ जनरवारीला मुंबई मध्ये होणार नसून पुढे ढकलले आहे- अपवाद लोकमत–त्यांच्यानुसार मोर्चाचे मुंबई मध्ये ३१ तारखेलाच दाखल होणार!! बघूया!!!
5. Petrol Pumps & Cards
तूर्तास पेट्रोल पंप आपले डेबिट/क्रेडिट कार्ड घेत असून याबद्दलचा निर्णय १३ जानेवारी पर्यंत पुढे ढकलण्यात आला आहे, अशी बातमी सकाळी कळली.

1. Bandra’s illegal eateries & malls-BMC
Times of India & its supplements did a great job by following up with the illegal Bandra eatery Royal China & BMC issue over the weekend. Since Bandra is a popular suburb, it gathered headlines.. This demolition & again erecting of illegal portions (I’m sure) is a regular affair in everyone’s life elsewhere in Mumbai. But i’m totally surprised by the restaurants attitude. On friday, the BMC came and demolished its illegal portion; now look at the restaurant’s arrogance; on Saturday morning they reconstructed the demolished portion; again the BMC came & demolished it. Kudos BMC for not giving in!! From where do these restaurant or illegal occupiers in Bandra get courage is my question. Generally in such cases (illegality) BMC officers go in for settlement (else Bandra would have been much greener). Once demolished or even after the BMC sends the first notice, the owners run to the court and manage to get a stay order & then the authorities are managed. Happened with Tavaa restaurant in Bandra. Anyways, 90% of all the owners of be it linking road’s, Hill roads hawkers, illegal construction sites or fine dining restaurants or any clubs or any retail shop owners, are belonging to the Muslim community who directly or indirectly control the same. NOW the reasons– No 1. all of these people are Salman Khan fans. So they think they are practically invincible. They have it in their head. They think if Salman can get away even after killing people, we are just violating some norms. NO 2. Corrupt & bogus politicians like Baba Siddique & Priya Dutt. The Congress has ruled Bandra for ages now. Local small time politicians having protection (they think in their heads) of Sachin Ahir or 1 or 2 DCP’s think they own Bandra. Just by supplying girls, if a politician thinks he will go up the ladder, please stop day dreaming. We already have many “Singh’s” doing the same and have been sent home. Anyway, when Ashish Shelar of the BJP stood ground and brought these illegal matters out in the open all the elite Muslims (I’m a witness to this) came together and uprooted Baba Siddique & Priya Dutt and sent them home. Let me be clear. All the “supporter of development” Muslim Community came together & sent Baba home. Baba is no less than a mafia. The illegal constructions and the “support” he provides to these illegal hawkers & pubs & eateries, Baba is also a partner in most of them. But as they say what goes around, comes around. Just find out why is Baba’s son’s Zeeshan’s political career is on the brink & why was he sent to London to study with immediate effect?
2. Yuva Sena’s sainik leaving the party –Loksatta
Today it is Yuva Sena & tomorrow it will be the parent party Shiv Sena. Today’s Loksatta says that many people are in the mood to leave Yuva Sena headed by Aditya Thackrey as the core yuva sainik has been kept at bay in all decision making & few imports from other parties are influencing Aaditya & his decisions in regard to the functioning of the party. Frankly Yuva Sena has lost the plot. The Marathi touch has been lost. It has started to be become a more Page 3 culture party whilst Aditya seen mingling with filmstars & personalities. Nothing wrong in that but what was the agenda of Yuva Sena ? What is the parent party ShivSena stands for? I’ll be surprised if Yuva Sena contributes to victory of even one candidate in the upcoming BMC elections. Yuva Sena is not Bandra or western suburbs Aaditya ji. What is happening in thane? Why are the Sarnaik’s so quiet? Do they even feel sidelined from Aditya? Time for retrospection people before it’s too late. But also imports like Rahul Kanal is a boost to the image, I feel. At least in some or the other way he & his mentor are in news; but if the yuva sainik is getting jealous of him & planting news against him; it is hypocrisy. Instead of wasting time to erase his line, how you extending yours?
3. हवालदार सुनील टोके: ट्रॅफिक मधील भ्रष्टाचाराचे रेटकार्ड चव्हाट्यावर
Wah, daredevil Mr. Sunil Toke. Read your interview in todays Lokmat. Ill tell you what will happen now. Forget being posed as a Hero, this Sunil Toke will now be sidelined & managed or morally he will be so badly humiliated that he will himself withdraw his complaint, resign or will go on exile. Such is our system. One person cannot improve it. Remember Sanjeev Kokil from the police force? Either you are in the system or you are not, if you are not please be outside the system or you will be thrown out if you don’t follow the system, is the mantra. My appeal to the CM is if they say this is the CM who takes such things seriously–the matter is in the court. Help him & meet him. Understand the nitigrities & literally punish the culprit whosoever its involved only after detailed probe. Whatever claims this Toke has made are not–baseless.
4. मराठा मोर्चा: लोकमत व इतर पेपर
Lokmat says the Maratha Morcha will be coming in Mumbai on 31st January and rest all papers are giving news of the morcha been postponed.
5. Petrol Pumps & Cards
Latest news is that the decision not to accept cards at Petrol Pumps for fuel purchase has been deferred till January 13th.
