Rumours spread about Metro 3 Car Depot…

Not more than a year ago, I received a Whatsapp which had first original picture of SAI BABA (so it be) & it said, “Immediately Circulate it to 9 people within 3 minutes on downloading of this picture and see the miracle within a day”. Being naive, I did it, and you know what happened. In the next hour, my wife fought with me as if there was no tomorrow, I got late for a meeting with a top boss in IAS by 45 minutes due to unexpected traffic at that particular hour, the meeting went real bad as I ended up eating 3 samosa’s which that IAS had got and thanks to him had blown my stomach bad for next 1 whole day, my son lost his race in his school competition, my father (as usual) blamed for me eating 3 samosa’s and not keeping my etiquette in check whilst in front of IAS officer (but the officer himself had 4 ) and by the night I went to bed, never it has happened, my suburban home faced power cut for 3 long hours in May. So friends, do not, & I repeat, do not just think that if you are in your down phase, to follow anyone and anything blindly…If I do this now, as per luck, this will happen. Are baba, such things happen only in serials & not in real life. I once asked a leading TV honcho why does she wear so many dhaga’s and rings in her hands with expensive stones? Her reply was, BABAJI has told me…I did not challenge her as next thing I knew she was in touch with none other than Bhaiyyu Maharaj of Indore…Oh by the way, another good looking boyish charm Maharaj in form of Amay Joshi is in Mantralaya these days after a gap of 3 years….yes  the sms person whom  journalist Atul Kulkarni had introduced to then CM Ashok Chavan & (now) Thane Collector Mahendra Kalyankar, who was PS to Chavan then. May has been friends with me since years, don’t  know why he avoids meeting me, but had heard Amay Joshi had once read Ashok Chavan’s hand when he was in trouble over Adarsh controversy… rest remains history…. now I heard AMay hobnobs around Labour Minister these days….by the way, not many know, Mahendra Kalyankar is excellent at Palmistry. He has good knowledge and only by looking at your face & palm he can tell you how many girls are there in your life…Shhh!! I’m keeping mum, as he had read mine when he was PS to forgotten Rajendra Gavit…Last heard, Kalyankar is now planning to read his friend Paramvir’s Singh’s hand….haha…

So friends, rumours & beliefs are two sides of the same coin. If not checked & authenticated it can lead to a debacle. Like yesterday again I received a sms from a random number” Today Mumbai’s Green lungs need your help. 3500 trees in Aarey Forest will be cut to build a metro car shed if we don’t RAISE OUR VOICE. Ask CM Fadnavis & MD of Mumbai Metro Ashwini Bhide & Rail Corporation to look for alternatives…Give a MISSED CALL on 08039513512″ 

I mean do these people on social media who call themselves city’s messiah or environmentalist or social workers even care to cross check what they circulate? If you are a responsible citizen who really care for your city, it is your duty to cross verify any information coming your way. Many of you may point out to the various gossips & scams I give in my OFF THE RECORD blog, but friends, that one hint, one taunt or even mentioning of names sends chills down the spines of these spineless so called authoritarians…Everything I write is based on papers I receive daily from numerous activists & NGO friends who are engaged in RTI’s daily (without compromising) and actually strive for a better city, state & country. Anyway, coming to so called rumour in regard to the card shed for Metro 3, my obvious call was to the MD Ashwini Bhide. I acted as if the information being circulated is serious and asked for explanation. So friends here it is, ” Mumbai’s green lungs are 200% intact. As per data, Sanjay Gandhi National park has 12,000 HA of land and Aarey Colony has 1287 HA of land, and for information land required for building the Metro 3 Car Depot is only 30 HA (about 0.25% of our Green Lungs). Mumbai has 27 lakh trees. Metro 3 car depot affects 3000 trees. They will be either transplanted or 3 times of the cut tress will be newly planted in the vicinity, claims Bhide. Again, total CO2 increase due to Metro 3 tree cutting will be around 79 Ton/year. Effective Co2 reduction due to this Metro 3 project. As per initial estimation in DPR it will be 10000 Ton/year and as per UNFCC (United Nations Framework Convention of Climatic Changes) it will be 2.61 lakh ton/year.” These were statistic for my so called learned environmentalist. There is absolutely no harm in knowing the facts, friends!

Now on to some facts. If you say 3000 tree cutting is impacting you, my friend,  3500 lives are lost every single year due to overcrowding on Suburban Trains. Don’t we Mumbaikar’s deserve a safer, faster & more efficient public transport remains my question. Also I have heard, ruling party’s own MLA’s along with their paid mediawaala’s are against the development of this Metro 3 project… my dear elite & upper class (MLA’s fall under this category), public transport is not for you. You have 2 car per person in the family parked in your garages. Let people like us who belong to the cattle class enjoy a bit of our taxed money being spent well. Don’t we deserve that? Since this project is causing a bit of inconvenience now, my question to AAM JANTA is that don’t you feel say 5 years down the line we will have lesser crowded roads in terms of traffic? Looking at the increase in per capita income & the lifestyle demands, with increase in number of personal cars, public transport & with introduction of OLA’s & UBER’s our city, if not acted on time, will surely come to a standstill. Get your facts right,a nd actually if you need anything more, feel free to contact the concerned officers whoa re more than ready to help you with all the data….So let these 3000 trees get cut and lets support the government for development. 

Oh by the way my dear friends who are so concerned with this Metro 3, please stop using Air Conditioners & stop driving in and around cars, as they impact the environment more than 3000 trees being cut. So get your facts write before circulating any forward.

जात पात म्हणजे घातपात १ : 
माझी पत्रकारिता देशव्यापी नाही, मी तेवढे या राज्यापुरते लिहितो त्यामुळे पुढले सारे विचार केवळ या राज्याशी संबंधित आहेत आणि या राज्यात सध्या त्या जातीपातीवरून जे घडते आहे, घडले आहे त्यावर लिहून मोकळा होणार आहे…

अतिशय उघडपणे सांगायचे झाल्यास जे मी सांगतो ते तुम्ही केलेच पाहिजे असे माझे तुम्हाला आग्रहाचे सांगणे आहे. या राज्यातले जे पाकिस्थानी विचारांचे जेवढे मुसलमान आहेत त्यांना आपण दूर ठेवत असतोच पण चुकून माकुनही जवळ करू नये कारण ते कधीही आपले होत नाहीत, होणार नाहीत याउलट हिंदूंच्या मुली कशा जाळ्यात ओढल्या जातील, हिंदूंची मुले कशी बिघडतील, हिंदूंच्यामुलांना हुक्का किंवा ड्रग्जस सारखी व्यसने कशी लावता येतील किंवा हिंदूंची आर्थिक फसवणूक करणे याकडेच या पाकिस्तानी विचारांच्या मुसलमानांचा ओढा असतो, त्यांचा तो तेवढाच उद्देश असतो त्यामुळे चुकूनही आपल्या मुला मुलींची दोस्ती यारी मैत्री त्यांच्याशी होणार नाही याची विशेषतः पालकांनी अगदी डोळ्यात तेल घालून काळजी घेतली पाहिजे, महत्वाचे म्हणजे पाकिस्थानी विचारांचे थर्डग्रेड मुसलमान नेमके कोण हे आपल्या सर्वांना अगदी सहज ध्यानात येत असते त्यामुळे त्यांना दूर ठेवणे तसे कठीण नसते आणि आपण ती काळजी घेतही असतो पण काही पालकांचे दुर्लक्ष होते आणि अशा पालकांना हमखास पश्चातापाची वेळ येते…

पाकिस्तानी विचारांचे मुसलमान कधीही कोणाचे होऊच शकत नाहीत, महत्वाचे म्हणजे ते या देशातल्या या राज्यातल्या हिंदुस्थानी विचारांच्या मुसलमानांचेही होत नाहीत, त्यांच्याशीही ते दगाफटका करीत असल्याने असे देशभक्त मुसलमान देखील या पाकड्या विचारांच्या दांगट मस्तीखोर गुन्हेगार मुसलमानानांपासून नेहमी दूर राहणे पसंत करतात, मुलांना कायम दूर ठेवतात आणि हे तुम्ही नेहमी ध्यानात ठेवावे त्यामुळे आपली पुढली पिढी किंवा आपण स्वतः आपले आयुष्य उध्वस्त करवून घ्यायचे नसेल तर तेवढी काळजी हमखास घ्या. विशेषतः गरीब, काहीसा अशिक्षित किंवा झोपडपट्टीत राहणारे सॉफ्ट हिंदू या पाकड्यांचे टार्गेट असतात त्यामुळे तुमच्याकडे विशेषतः काम करणाऱ्या नोकराचाकरांचे ब्रेन वॉश करणे तुमचे ते कर्तव्य आहे, महत्वाचे असे काम आहे. पण सारेच मुसलमान पाक विचारांचे कृपया असेही डोक्यात ठेवून त्यांना दूर ठेवू नका म्हणजे अकोल्याचे माजी मंत्री आणि प्राध्यापक म्हणून काम केलेले श्रीमान अझहर हुसेन यांची जर एखादी पोस्ट त्यांनी टाकली तर ती मी किमान दोन तीन वेळा वाचून मोकळा होतो किंवा दिवंगत माजी मंत्री शाबीर शेख यांचे बोलणे किंवा त्यांचे भाषण ऐकणे माझ्यासाठी ती एक पर्वणी असायची, माजी दिवंगत मुख्यमंत्री बॅरिस्टर अंतुल्यांनी ते मुख्यमंत्री असतांना त्यांनी भलेही या राज्यातले दर्गे सक्षम केले असतील पण त्यांचे तेवढेच हिंदूंवर विशेषतः कोकणातल्या सामान्य मराठी माणसावर देखील अतिशय प्रेम होते अगदीच उदाहरण द्यायचे झाल्यास १९८० च्या आधी पत्रकारितेत अगदीच सामान्य वाटणारे मधुकर भावे यांच्यासारखे काही पत्रकार याच अंतुले यांच्या कृपार्शीवादामुळे तदनंतर म्हणजे १९८० नंतर या राज्यातल्या सामान्य मराठी वाचकांना अचानक साक्षात आचार्य अत्रे वाटायला लागले होते, थोडक्यात जे या देशावर प्रेम करणारे मुसलमान आहेत त्यांचे विचारातले अनुकरण खरोखरी मनाला आनंद देणारे असते, यात शंका घेण्याचे तसे अजिबात कारण नाही म्हणजे आजही समीर मणियार सारख्या प्रगल्भ पत्रकाराचे लिखाण वाचणे माझ्यासाठी ते दिवाळी साजरी करण्यासारखे असते, मराठी मधले कुराण जेव्हा गिफ्ट म्हणून मला राष्ट्रवादीचे ज्येष्ठ नेते मुनाफ हकीम यांनी माझ्या हाती सोपविले, मला त्यांनी त्यावेळी आवर्जून सांगितले कि हे कुराण कृपया वाट्टेल त्याठिकाणी ठेवून ते अपवित्र करू नका, त्यांच्या सांगण्यावरून मी आज देखील त्या पवित्र कुराणाची जागा माझ्या कार्यालयातील पुस्तके संग्रहालयात वेगळी करून मोकळा झालेलो आहे, अधून मधून कुराणाचे पठाण करणे मला अगदी मनापासून आवडते, त्यातले काही विचार काही संदर्भ तसे समजायला कठीण आहेत पण नाही समजले तर मी ज्या मुस्लिम मित्रसंगे सकाळी वॉक घेतो त्याच्याकडून असे संदर्भ समजावून घेतो. अत्यंत महत्वाचे म्हणजे जे कोकणातले किंवा पुण्याकडले मुसलमान आहेत ते प्रसंगी एखाद्या विद्वान ब्राम्हणांपेक्षा देखील लाघवी शुद्ध मधुर मराठी बोलून प्रसंगी भाषेच्या बाबतीत ब्राम्हणांना देखील फाट्यावर मारून मोकळे होतात…

अलीकडे माझे अमेरिकेतले पटेल आडनावाचे दोन गुजराथी मित्र येऊन गेलेत, पुढल्या काही दिवसतात त्यांचा आणखी एक मित्र यासाठी मला भेटायला येणार आहे कि येथे भारतात त्याच्या घटस्फोटित मुलींसाठी आम्हाला स्थळ शोधायचे आहे, घडले असे, अमेरिकेतही घडते असे कि बंगला देशातले किंवा पाकिस्थानातले हिंदुद्वेषी मुसलमान कोवळ्या हिंदू मुलींना जाळ्यात ओढून त्यांच्याशी निकाह लावून पुढल्या काही वर्षात मुलं पैदा करून त्यांना वाऱ्यावर सोडून निघून जातात, जे येथेही अनेकदा घडते. येथे 
भारत भेटीवर येणाऱ्या त्या गृहस्थाचे देखील तेच झाले आहे, त्याची कोवळी मुलगी पाकड्या विचाराच्या पाकिस्तानातून आलेल्या रुबाबदार तरुणाने जाळ्यात ओढली, निकाह लावला आणि एक मूल पैदा करून तो तरुण दूरवर कुठेतरी निघूनही गेला, मूल पाकड्या कडून झाल्याने त्या देशातले हिंदू किंवा गुजराथी तरुण आता त्या मुलीशी पुनर्विवाह देखील करायला तयार नाहीत, एकुलती एक श्रीमंत घरातली हि तरुणी, आई वडिलांच्या हाती तेवढे टाहो फोडून दर दिवशी रडणे हाती उरलेले आहे. बघूया, येथे काही जमले तर….

आणि हे असे अनेक कुटुंबातून घडते आहे, हिंदूंच्या मुली फसवून मोकळे होणे हे या अशा पाकड्याविचारांच्या तरुणांचे कामच आहे म्हणून सावध राहणे, या अशा देशद्रोही बिचारांच्या तरुणांपासून आपली पिढी दूर ठेवणे आपले महत्वाचे असे काम आहे, काळजी घ्यावी पण पुन्हा हात जोडून विनंती, आपण सारेच अनेकदा उठता बसता म्हणजे उठ सुठ प्रत्येक मुस्लिम व्यक्तीकडे  पाकिस्तानी म्हणून बघतो, ते देखील अजिबात योग्य नाही, असे घडायला नको, दरी वाढायला नको…
