The Man, The Legend-Devendra Fadnavis !
On the onset, let me first begin with wishing our dynamic Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis a very Happy Birthday! Today and tomorrow, there will be millions of people who will be singing praises about DF as he is commonly known, but in this article I will tell you, the DF that I have understood knowing him since I was a kid, and got a chance to observe him study him up close post 2014 once he was in power and it is then, when I too had begun to set my feet in the world of Political Journalism.
DF is different. He isn’t your normal leader or politician who makes fuss about things. Yes, being human he faults too, but his faults don’t cost us. He errs in choosing the people who surround him many times then his few decisions does put us all in a tizzy, but at the end of the day like a Bollywood movie, all is well at the end. Me and my Baba, are one of the so many ones, who did not change our Gods when the roads for DF were difficult, and he knows this.
You know what is special about DF? He lets his own people make mistakes and he keeps on forgiving them. But once the mistakes crosses its mark of say 100, then there is no one like DF who spits venom. We have so many examples whom we thought were his closest buddies, but with time they are nowhere today because they had crossed their mistakes bar. I haven’t seen DF getting emotional in any circumstances barring only one occasion when he lost his best friend Late Amol Kale. This is the only time when I saw DF disturbed for a good 6 months to a year. Even today, I am sure, no one can replace him in DF’s heart.
You know what is the secret if you want to be close to DF? Today I will tell you…Stay far from him. Don’t meet him everyday, do his work, be silent, don’t shout about your achievements and don’t tell you love him. He knows it…common yaar, he has the best network in the industry today, he will be there for you when the water is rough for you. Ask his other best friend, Shailesh Joglekar, and he will tell you exactly this. I mean, you all should have guessed from the simple example from the selection of his staffs at the CMO…Dilip Rajurkar, Shrikar Pardeshi, Ashwini Bhide, Vikas Kharge, Kaustubh Dhavase, Palaskar even his ‘Hemant’ who takes care of DF in Mantralaya too aren’t loud mouths. He likes people who fly under the radar and quietly do their work. Then occasionally DF does not even bother if any of his close associates indulge in any activity at a minor scale.
Yes, unlike many journalists, bureaucrats and politicians, when DF faced a ‘slack’ in his career, which many of you think it was his bad period, let me tell you, DF was in control of many things even when he was out of the government from 2019 to 2022, when Uddhav Thackeray was the CM of Maharashtra. Else, tell me, how on earth is it possible to oust sitting Ministers from the Uddhav Government, send MLAs to jail and plan a coup with sitting Ministers of the same government to form his own government? This isn’t a normal person’s capacity. Only DF can do this. 24 hours 365 days Devendra Fadnavis thinks and breathes only one thing— M.A.H.A.R.A.S.H.T.R.A. Yes read it again…He breathes Maharashtra every single day, hour and minute.
By the way, those who taunt him over his caste, it was ONLY because of him the Maharashtra Assembly unanimously passed a bill on 20 February 2024, providing 10% reservation for the Maratha community in education and government jobs, and who was behind it– a Brahmin CM. Now, do you know this? In his own constituency and across Maharashtra, which caste has an opinion on Devendra Fadnavis, that he does not do justice to them? It is the Brahmin community. Yes, ask any Brahmin friends of yours who are into politics and they will echo the feeling of being not 100% satisfied with DF. Yet his opponents are cruel to him for being a Brahmin.
Boss, as a common man and the one who is interested in politics, we all have to come to one conclusion, even if you like it or don’t like it…Devendra Fadnavis has finished off careers of those who have looted Maharashtra be it outside or inside his own party and be it legends or so called patriarchs of politics in Maharashtra. And those who are challenging the ethics and doings of Fadnavis, please understand he is not into charity, he is into POLITICS.
Today the remaining small parties who are of the belief that DF will go to Center and they can again resurrect their careers and sell Maharashtra again., my advice to them is DREAM ON. Even if DF goes to the Center say in 2027, his successor will be no less and lethal than him, mark my words, whosoever it will be..Many say Ravindra Chavan, Girish Mahajan or Chandrashekhar Bawankule or my gut feel say it can be an Eknath Shinde too, yes, wait and watch how this story will unfold.
In earlier days, they said no one comes out of Sharad Pawar’s home empty handed, I will tell you friends, try Devendra Fadnavis! Those who scream his name in front of cameras, have bought so called social media warriors continuously spitting venom against DF and his family, I have seen these people in literal sense bending their backs in front of DF for funds or projects and files to get cleared. And any one of them should say that DF has asked for any favour in return? Deep down even they salute DF..
Salute to the Infrastructure Man of Maharashtra, Salute to the Man who Shaped Maharashtra and Salute to the Man, The Legend -Devendra Fadnavis!!
