Some Gossips in the Corridors of Power !
- After I wrote about who will become the Chief Secretary in my blog, a lot of people asked where will Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik go post retirement? Will she get an extension..I said I don’t know about the extension but if she does not take extension she will continue to serve the nation in some or the other way even post retirement by taking a post which will be adding advantage to Maharashtra as a state or to the country. One option is she can go to National Disaster Management or second option is she can go as a Water Regulator in the Maharashtra Water resources regulatory authority. This post is vacant as Dr Sanjay Cahande has just resigned two months back…Either Sujata ji will be at one of the posts I mentioned above, or any other post which she might get, our best wishes to her to continue to serve the city, state and country.
- A Minister known to have Royal Stag in his bunglow– nothing wrong with that—but now you are a Minister from the Ajit Pawar group–at least shift to a Chivas 12 years or a Black Label… why I say so because these days officers below him are drinking Blue Labels and Maccallan 18 years…But when quizzed about this the Minister says “Apne Ko Ye Hi Mangata Hai” .The other day one of his friend took this Minister to have a Thali at Status restaurant…and the friend told me next time I am not meeting this Minister again…I asked why so? he said, “bhai, this Minister after the meal put tobacco in his mouth and was spitting his tobacco like there is no tomorrow on the road right outside Status, and one of the ‘peechkaari’ came on my recently bought Louis Vuitton shoes too…I told myself, let this man keep the advance but no more dealings with you ” I laughed my guts out….Next kaand is, this Minister’s staff PA/PS/OSD are taking him for a major ride…if they get say Rs. 50 from a Gutka Vendor, they will take 40 and tell Minister that Rs 10 has come…the Minister will be so happy with Rs 10..he is that naive in ‘corruption’ and understanding anything of the department he handles…All said and done, now the mInister is smitten by an Instagram sensation. She comes in her swanky BMW, gets a few gutka people, shows off her hot-bod, and the Minister does all the work whatever this sensation says. After the meeting, the lady leaves ahead in the BMW and the Minister uses his own car to reach the place of ‘pleasure’.
