OFF THE RECORD review….

Bangladesh’s civil war, UK (Birmingham) riots, Phogat’s 100 gms debacle in Olympics, Earthquake in Japan, Israel, Iran and US so many things are happening in the world which is creating a lot of negative energy…even for some of us things didn’t go the way we planned in this week. Stay positive. Manifest. Keep going !!

Somewhere read Congress’s Nana Patole has made a statement that Uddhav Thackeray should wash the feet of Rahul Gandhi. Is it true readers that Nanabhau said this? Because hell would have broken out had this been true, in the MVA. How come Sanjay Raut and others are quiet on this? Also, if it is true, the mainstream media keeping quiet on this one, says a lot of things about how the media is working in Maharashtra. And Nana bhau, if you have said this, it is not dignified for yours and Uddhav Thackeray’s stature too. AT the end, we have to maintain certain etiquette in politics.

In a video seen on X, again MLA Bacchu Kadu has hit some government officer yet again. Why Bacchu Bhau? If you cannot keep your hands in check, please join mixed martial arts. It relieves anger, frustration and habits.

I don’t understand a few senior government officers working in Mantralaya. Why do they act as if they themselves are Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. An officer whom I knew before he got a plum posting in this government, was very friendly, approachable and resourceful. But then God knows what happened to him; he has stopped meeting everyone, even his batchmates for a drink or two (coffee I meant) and is only seen with the CM or DCM. Last heard, he dresses up too like our politicians. After Pravin Pardeshi, Radhyesham Mopalwar, I won’t be surprised if he asks for a ticket the day he retires. Not all days are the same Mr. Bureaucrat, please note!

By the way, talking of Vidhan Sabha, I was very impressed when someone told me that PS of CM Eknath Shinde-Balaji Khatgaonkar is preparing himself for upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections from Nanded region.

To continue this Vidhan Sabha topic, I have maintained one thing for all of us who do not understand what is happening in politics. Since last year I have been shouting on top of my voice that BJP, SS both groups, NCP both groups MNS and every political party should all fight the 288 seats in Maharashtra-INDIVIDUALLY– as there is a MELA for every seat now. As a result of this, every party will know where it stands, and “BERJE CHE RAJKARAN” will be done by the NO 1 party that comes with the highest seats; what say? No YUTI…everyone is free to do what they want when they know what standing they have. But having said this, both state level Congress and NCP are going to fight together leaving Uddhav Thackeray in a soup. Hence so much aggression shown by Uddhav Thackeray in his recent speeches–it is to attract Congress and the NCP.

Another senior IAS officer is known for his drinking habits. We knew he liked to have a glass of his favourite Malt everyday after he went home. Last heard, lately he even drinks during the day now and comes to office; that too if he wishes to. Hope he does not make a fool of himself when it is time to report to the bosses, the second time–yes, second time–someone tells me big bosses are upset with this behaviour of this talented bureaucrat!
