OFF THE RECORD review on some of todays headlines….
1. Minister goofs up big time.
Yesterday an event turned out to be a laughing stock for some but a painful one for this senior IAS officer. Yesterday my father happened to meet Minister Chandrakant Patil in the corridors of Vidhan Bhavan. Minister held my father’s hand, pulled dad close to him (eek don’t gather any other meanings pleaseeee) and whispered in his ear, “Today morning, wife of this XYZee senior IAS officer has passed away.” Frantically my father called me to confirm the news. In such a situation I couldn’t even call the officer who is an extremely close friend of mine. Best way to confirm this news was to call his fellow IAS officer, who I know shares an excellent rapport with him both at professional and at personal level. We find out the news was false. I sent my father again to the Minister to apprehend him of the mistake he had made and the trouble and horrid experience the IAS went through. The Minister’s Private Secretary who was nearby immediately told us that it was a journalist’s wife from Sangli just having the same name, who had passed away. The Minister profusely apologised for his mistake on learning so….
Now publicly, my apologies to the IAS officer for putting him under this ! Such MInister’s we have, I tell, you who run our Government. Hope the Minister does not goof up some figures in tenders of PWD contracts….Bureaucrats at PWD & staff’s of Chandrakant dada, henceforth please cross check twice what Minister says huh…I’ll say, take everything in writing….
2. Shivsena in Ayodhya
So, finally Uddhav Thackrey is roaring in true Shiv_Sainik style. The Ayodhya agenda seems to be a hit. But naysayers are gossiping something else. They say, all this is done to just make the party’s presence and strength felt at Delhi and overseas market. Often Amit Shah is seen playing with emotions of Uddhav whenever it is time for ShivSena to take part in any activity concerning Centre– be it an by-election of a MP or support when BJP requires it. What I personally see from this, is it is a great marketing activity from Uddhav Thackrey to go to Ayodhya and support the Ram Mandir agenda. It might not be his only agenda, but a thought must have surely gone though the think tank of SS….
You all must be aware that Christian’s and Muslims all across the globe support their ideologies by strengthening the party or people carrying the same agenda, wherever you might be in the world. There are agencies and private institutions who support such causes financially big time in form of donations. With this Ayodhya visit and Hindutva agenda, I see ShivSena receiving “GLOBAL FUNDS” to further strengthen their base financially…. I mean nothing is wrong if they do so, but Uddhav ji, here in Maharashtra your partner in your Government is fighting drought, reservation and many more serious issues every single day…To begin with, Late Shri Balasaheb’s memorial is still pending. But anyways, “जो दिखता है, वो बिकता है”. With elections coming, raising funds is not all a bad idea, whilst supporting the saffron Hindutva tag.
3. Tukaram Mundhe gets posted in Mantralaya
A side posting finally to silence the firebrand Tukaram Mundhe.
4. MP Gopal Shetty
So if SRA, MHADA were not enough for this MP Shetty to participate, fight and support the wrong doers of our city, Shetty has now moved his attention to the MLA’s of his own party. The team Shetty is supported by the likes of Bhai Girkar and other two MLA’s. But inside information is that the whole team is not liked by CM Fadnavis. Shetty on purpose has adopted some dirty tactics to fight against the MLA’s who are not supporting his endeavours. Very soon, shall update with details….
5. MLA Yogesh Sagar’s this side was unknown.
Not many know that apart from being the firebrand in Vidhan Sabha who even from the back bench can silence his opposition when he stands to talk or if I could say against whom even Ajit Pawar takes a down stand in an argument in the house, we know this MLA is the saccha karyakarta of BJP. When most of the journalists of leading papers forget to take his name in the papers for information he provides for his social work, I thought I should share this emotional side of Sagar for you readers. Apparently, being a Gujrati, Sagar is a die hard fan of Garba and Dandiya. But if you know after the 10 days of celebrations when people throw away the Garba’s at the Mandir’s, Sagar himself collects them in big numbers and does this unique thing. He uses Tulsi plantation in these thrown away Garba’s and also converts some of them into sparrows nest and hangs them at various gardens and in private society’s trees. Isn’t that nice? See, someone is at least doing something for the birds right? Not all who are friends with MP Gopal Shetty and Bhai Girkar are bad…
