Perfect strategy of NCP (AP) group
The unfortunate demise of Ajit Pawar in a plane crash and the swearing-in of his wife Sunetra Pawar just 2 days into her husband’s death, as the new DCM of Maharashtra many raised their eyebrows to this but for me it was a perfect strategy adopted by the NCP party Ajit Pawar group. This was done in order to stop the in-fighting in the family, shunt other contenders and for once and all shut up the gossip mongering about the merger of both the Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar groups. This was done to avoid future straining of the relationships between the two groups. After the swearing-in ceremony was done, many were curious for the absence of Parth and Jay Pawar, but readers, please understand it has not been even a week that both Parth & Jay have lost their father; their family is separated during this period (at least political per se), which once was a united, prestigious and blue blood family of our Maharashtra politics that has ruled Maharashtra for so long…Not easy to see what is happening and surely not easy to cope up for both the youngsters; to add– their mother is sworn-in as the DCM, a lot of things must be going on in their minds along with questions related to their own political existence and future. Parth has just been through the Pune land scam deal, the whole ecosystem of both the sons is disturbed after the death of their head of the family. Let’s not further add misery to their lives by adding our two bits and let us all give them time to cope up with this loss and come to terms with the harsh reality of life. But one thing I will surely tell you, the most affected persons in the family by the demise of Ajit Pawar are of course, Sunetra Pawar with her two sons– and the most affected and disturbed by the news is —SHARAD PAWAR…Yes, he is very disturbed!
IPS postings shifted March end or April 1st week..
For IPS officers who have completed their term at one posting, for IPS officers who are waiting for their promotions, my source says, the much awaited transfers and promotions of IPS officers will happen after the Budget session of Maharashtra gets over i.e. towards March end or it can be done in the first week of April too…Many officers are not ready to take their ‘work’ seriously these days as all of them know that “I am going to be transferred now,” but there are still 2 months left and there shouldn’t be any lethargy in discharging your duties, a message is given from the top.
BMC Commissioner post is that many are eying for once Bhushan Gagrani retires in March. If the mining post was reserved and promised to I Q Chahal post retirement, as a surprise to many he was given the Police Housing responsibility; I think promises made to Chahal just don’t get fulfilled; at least that’s been his record for the past 2 years as what I have seen..but now that he is retired, he must be smiling at his luck and moving on; now the Mining post can be offered to Bhushan Gagrani post retirement, but I don’t think Gagrani has asked for any specific role to the CM or DCM. With a lot going around politically, I am sure Gagrani will be given some or the other responsibility post retirement; my bet is on him joining the CMO or DCMO as an advisor or he can be given the Mining post too…Also, for the post of BMC Commissioner with Manisha Mhaiskar made ACS (Additional Chief Secreatry) Home and Milind Mhaiskar made ACS PWD, will the name be a surprise or will it be the obvious choice Ashwini Bhide who will take the administration and rules of business with an iron hand or will it ‘smiling’ and ‘shrewd’ Sanjay Mukherjee or will it be ‘development man’ Sanjeev Jaiswal; by the way Jaiswal hasn’t lobbied or asked anyone for the spot, as per information. MMRDA will see a new Commissioner and at least one ‘under utilised’ of the 3 AMC’s will be shifted from MMRDA. Changes are expected at MIDC, CIDCO and other corporations too…By the way, it was a bit embarrassing for me to see our CS Rajesh Aggarwal speak Marathi at the swearing-in ceremony..Sorry Rajesh ji, but yes it was…

These 3 gave first woman Chief Secretary of Maharashtra-Sujata Saunik, first woman DGP Maharashtra-Rashmi Shukla, first woman PCCF-Shomita Biswas, first women DCM of Maharashtra-Sunetra Pawar and if all falls in place-we will have first WOMAN BMC Commissioner too…
