Mohit ‘Podcast’ Kamboj Bhartiya….
When everyone in Maharashtra was going gung-ho about how Adani rose in the last decade, silent voices in the corridors of power took one other name too–Mohit Kamboj Bhartiya…Being a hardcore ‘fan’ of Devendra Fadnavis myself, I started getting inquisitive of the man who allegedly, is handpicked up close by Fadnavis.. Why Mohit? I would often crib to myself… Why not someone else? Why a ‘Bhaiyya’,? By the way, he is Punjabi born in Banaras… it did not take time for me to understand that yes, he is up there and why? He has given his blood, sweat, tears and for Devendra Fadnavis..Very few did that for him, especially at the time when Devendra Fadnavis (DF) needed such people around him…Mohit rose to the occasion (without expectations)…
And my process to know Mohit up closely began, being in that ‘inner circle’ of journalists whom DF ‘prefers’ not out of compulsion but in the ‘liked category’, I got introduced to Mohit somewhere around 2018-19 by a mutual friend. From that day, our journey even today is not that of journalist-politician/businessman-it is about sharing the same ideology, principles and also being the disciples of the same “Guru”…MISSION DEVENDRA and not COMMISSION DEVENDRA remains our Mantra even today…
If you all haven’t, listen to Mohit’s latest podcast with ace Journalist Sarita Kaushik of ABP Mazha…Let me first & foremost congratulate Sarita ji for being who she is, LOVELY…not behaving like ‘I know all’ like many journos these days do when they interview someone…She was poised, spoke less, heard more, and in between asked relevant questions (some tongue-in cheek too) and she is doing this for years now…Hard hitting stories but no running after bylines or publicity and hence she remains one of my favourite journos.
What did I draw out of the podcast? A very welcome change in Mohit–his ‘matured’ approach in everything now…Aggression and Impulsion have taken a back seat in his life! Yes, he is growing at lightning speed and everyone who knows that I am his friend don’t even think twice to ask me, “how come he is everywhere, who is behind him?”, I smile and I reply– 80% hard work, 10% luck and 10% because of his relationships with the movers and shakers of our city, state and country! And mind you, even if Mohit came from Banaras in 2002, his family background was NOT ordinary… In 2014 Vidhan Sabha assembly elections he was the second richest candidate declaring Rs 353 crores wealth..Now nowhere then Fadnavis was in power right?
Many people and politicians at various levels malign Mohit about his sudden rise; now one free ka gyaan, if you know Mohit personally and if he ever entertains you in his office, he won’t shy to tell you who backs him and who doesn’t. Let me tell you, he has ‘blessings’ from NOT ONLY Fadnavis but you will be shocked if I reveal names! Yes, it is true. Backing and Blessings everyone has, but then growth is inevitable for people who deliver and these Corporates don’t put money on any Bol bachchan…Mohit delivers and that’s what matters to these corporates! Today I will tell you a secret, Mohit has backing and association with the top 5 business houses of our country..And yes, 1000’s of allegations are made on him everyday, the ones doing it are powerful enough to raise it in the Assembly, God knows why they don’t even reach the Assembly floor… Strange na…
I loved Mohit’s one point about him building a Mahadev Mandir in Juhu; he said, with all this drama around the world, our culture needs to be preserved and passed on to our next generation. With this mandir, at least if not all, but some will surely come and learn a thing about our Hindu culture. When I say he has ‘matured’, another example of the podcast was his take on Tejas Thackeray video controversy…I won’t be surprised if the Thackeray lovers too develop a sympathetic approach towards him now…Then I loved his clarity of thought who are ‘friends of the BJP’ and who are not; He openly admitted his friendship with Raj Thackeray and Eknath Shinde; by the way, news item for me as a journo in that podcast was his comment on Ajit Pawar-“It’s good If I don’t speak on him” fodder for me….
Most important was Mohit clearing his stance on the Late Baba Siddique’s case. He had to come out in the open on this one…When he spoke, it definitely must have left the likes of Zeeshan Siddique embarrassed now. As regards to his SRA projects as a journalist even I have questioned him, why is he the favourite of SRA, but then I see all opposite camp friends partnering with him, I keep my mouth shut; It’s business at the end of the day fellas! …for example, Panchsheel of Pune has been his friend for years now, don’t we all know? How come he has tied up with Mohit? forget that, these top 5 business houses/Corporates who are associated with him today will run away from Mohit if 1% of allegations were true…
I don’t know how he survived 2020-2022…even today his life is not easy with Social media giving right to speak any non-sense without any proof…When there were allegations on him, agencies at his doorsteps, and the kind of hatred he faced, anyone would have committed suicide…But then this man fought it all and it is indeed inspiring what he showed us all–that come what may, If you are true and legit, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and justice will happen…today not only he is successful but he has shown at the age of 41, how one can balance political management, business management, relationships with all across party lines and handling corporates can be done at the same time…He is damn headstrong, he has his own vision for development in his head, and this he has achieved only due to hard work and failures at many levels…else coming from a Tier 2 town of Bharat, and today being partners with top 5 houses of our country, it is not an easy task..By the way, you cannot take him for a ride, is one strong message I got from his Podcast…Plus knowing him personally, Mohit has never answered his critics and chooses to remain silent…He lets his success speak…And why do so many big people trust him–he will never open his mouth, never will gossip and never take undue advantage of anyone stuck in a situation; he will only help…’Secrecy’ remains his biggest weapon…
I loved his attitude towards our city..He has made our city his own home…They say, if you have it in you, Mumba Devi will bless you; Isn’t it true for every single one of us? Mumbai gives to them who give it back to her in some or the other form…
