The Clash of Titans!
Whenever there is a sudden demise in the family or the main person of the house is retired or dead, it is generally the oldest person or the next in command who takes the reins of the family and gets the ball rolling. But this scion or the replacement who has assumed power is often met with criticism or slowly there is yet another ‘batch’ of competitors within the family or business ( who thought amongst themselves only) that they deserved to be the next ‘heads’, rise. Then begins the longest battle till one of them surrenders; 90% surrendering is never an option. We are amassed with a lot of EGO. No one is ready to ‘accept’ ….Hence such feuds to attend the top spot, many times, results in collapses of empires. Why am I telling you this? Read on….
Not only families but even our Maharashtra politics is marred by such feuds. We all saw, what happened between Uddhav and Raj Thackeray as both of them wanted to take Shivsena in their hands in the early days resulting in split, the in-famous Sharad Pawar-Ajit Pawar fall out, it did not leave the BJP as well; feud within BJP when BJP and Shivsena had come in power in 2014 to become the Chief Minister, to become the Big brother, a lot of that happened–so many examples to quote, but ultimately what happens in such feuds, either the families get separated and if not in families, careers of the ones who are left behind go behind for a good 5 to 10 years. Khadse is an example of such inter-rivalry and his own doing too…By the way, Even the media houses are spared of such ‘feuds’.. Just to quote, the famous The Times of India group brothers too split (Vineet & Samir Jain). So, in the clash of titans, even if you come out as a winner, you have lost a little when you look back!
Now, since the past 3 to 4 days, a lot has been written about Mohit Kamboj on social media (though nothing is proved until now), that he has been awarded the majority of SRA tenders as he is the ‘closest’ to the power centre. It is true that we see ‘ASPECT’ everywhere. But let me tell you, unlike many others, he is not a NEW rich kid on the bloc. He tells his close people that I came to Mumbai with Rs. 1000 from his papa in 2001, but no one knows that his financial background from Banaras is also very strong! Yes, then why suddenly this uproar by the opposition? is it illegal to do business and grow? It is because now he has started to show off his ‘work’, which he actually did not for the longest time. His flight of cars, his Y+ security, his flamboyant lifestyle, his projects and his closeness with power centres at Delhi and also in Maharashtra has been a reason for a lot of ‘newly rich kids of Mumbai’ to be jealous. And if you can’t bring him down, malign him…
In between all of this, the ‘Devabhau’ advertisement campaign already bought eyeballs on Mohit. People just assume and people just talk! What has happened, with all of this limelight around the name ‘Mohit Kamboj’ today, even the ‘aastin ke saanp’ of the BJP Mumbai & Maharashtra, have joined hands with the opposition and provided a lot of gossip. It would be better if real documents exchanged hands, then we would know the actual truth! But even if this has happened, it shouldn’t for sure, but if it is on MERIT, then if Hirandani can, Lodha can, why not Aspect?
The likes of Mumbai Regional Congress Chief Varsha Gaikwad too took to social media to expose Kamboj and demanded questions. In return the BJP warriors alleged her husband’s role and allocation of flats in the in-famous Patra Chawls. If this was not enough, there appeared one news item in the Free Press Journal claiming that Mohit Kamboj has retired from active politics. Many newspapers including the so called elite English newspapers printed this newsitem without even consulting with Mohit. Just to clarify, as quoted to me, Mohit Kamboj said, “I haven’t given any byte or confirmed this; this news item was planted by my opposition just to grab eyeballs”. So Mohit is very much ACTIVE in politics, even today, and like others, is a BJP warrior.
They say, always ask the question-WHY in politics when you don’t understand all that is happening around you? Why all of a sudden Mohit Kamboj is under the radar of everyone? We all know that after the unfortunate demise of CM Fadnavis’s childhood friend and closest associate Amol Kale, It is said behind closed doors that once Amol Dada went, there was a huge vacuum as to who will be the next Amol Kale in Fadnavis’s life. 100% of you people will agree with me, that there is no one who will ever fill those shoes of Late Amol Kale in DF’s life. Now, it is a fact that Mohit Kamboj and so many others, even the likes of us, are in close connection with our Chief Minister, but in different capacities and reasons best known to us. Very few are allowed in his personal space and to my best knowledge, in Fadnavis’s personal space, there is no 1 who is even closely related to politics. Yes, there are people who are close to Fadnavis, but not as close as late AK was. And everyone knows AK always flew below the radar.
Mohit Kamboj, like others in the BJP, is a true Fadnavis soldier, not only of Fadnavis but he is a party soldier too. Yes, he is close to Fadnavis, but like so many others. But remember, he is a businessman too…There is one STRONG group who are working day-in-day-out to be the ones calling themselves ‘closest’ to Fadnavis and remove Mohit from the ‘favourite’ list. It is Mohit V/s All, and hence this supari of Mohit…. It is apparently Mohit v/s a TDR King, (I don’t know if it is true but has this TDR king bought 3 floors in Naman’s Xana at Worli where USV’s chairperson had picked up duplexes of Rs 639 crores and it made headlines) then there is financially weakened Jayesh bhai, but please understand my friends, Prithvi GOL hai, bhailog, let’s see what happens next….And yes, how can I forget, there are Ujjawal’s too who are like those people pleasers who will be in every group…their funda is clear, “Apna Kaam Batna, Bhaad Mein Jaaye Janta” .. When SP and Uddhav are in power, Vivek comes, and when it is BJP, it is Ujjwal for his own bhavishya!
Mumbai is a sea, my dear friends and instead of trying to put each other down, take your buckets with your own talent and guts!
If people are questioning how there can be a favourite and coterie next to the CM, I can count you names of such coteries that have existed since Maharashtra has seen a Chief Minister post 1995. Before that, I was just 12 years old!
