4 till now Income Tax & ED? What happened to the list of 22 made in 2016?
OK. A lot has been heard and spoken off about the latest Income Tax raids followed by the Enforcement Directorate department notices to some (4 of them) of the biggest Liasioner of Maharashtra. What I am told is, it ain’t any random raid. ED too has interfered and now somewhere all this can be drawn down to numerous complaints in regards to Samruddhi Mahamarg (Mumbai-Nagpur expressway), investments made and hence these raids is what most of us are presuming. But very few know that along with these departments in the raid, people who look into Benami Properties Act have accompanied too, is what I am told. But wasn’t Samruddhi a money spinning model for so many bureaucrats, politicians and their relatives for years now? I will leave it for investigating agencies to decide for that. These raids on 4 big fishes reminded of a letter that did the rounds back in 2016-17. It was a letter written by an RTI Activist RPY Rao, based on a complaint by a whistleblower, to then CM Fadnavis, then CS Kshatriya and then ACB Boss Vivek Phansalkar. The letter contained names of 22 big dalaal’s of Mantralaya and Maharashtra who were ruling the roost. If these 4 can be touched and heckled like this, why can’t these 22, is my question? Even though the letter dates back to 2016, and many of them are even irrelevant now, some of them like Munde, Maheshwari and Shah’s are yet active in the circuit, isn’t it? The dalaal’s were very active in the aided School Education department, social justice, tribal welfare, women & child development and so on…
Mayor Kishori Pednekar’s video of standing on the road next to potholes and whipping junior BMC officers has gone viral on social media and enough memes are made on it. I don’t understand one thing. Pednekar is the Mayor of the largest corporation where single handedly again her own party has ruled since 1997 i.e. Shivsena. So are bad roads and potholes a new concept to the Mayor? Why this drama on the road then and why is a junior officer picked up? Ma’am, we will back you when either an Assistant Municipal Commissioner, or a Deputy Municipal Commissioner, or Chief Engineer (Roads) or an IAS (Addl. Municipal Commissioners) is pulled for shoddy jobs. It is very easy for people like you or a party like MNS to heckle lower rank staff. Read that report my friend Sanjeev Shivadekar had written 4 years ago when Ajoy Mehta had exposed these bogus contractors, blacklisted them, and had shunted SVR Sriniwas, an IAS, from the BMC in the name of road scam. Ma’am, demand an explanation from these scumbags, then only we will really feel you are fair. But isn’t this irony again folks? SVR Sriniwas who was shunted by then MC Ajoy Mehta accusing him of Rs. 350 crore road scam is now back in form and heading MMRDA.
I agree with my fellow scribe Amey Tirodkar’s tweet. Suraj Thakur should be made Youth Congress President. Instead of having people who are nearing their 40’s and yet calling themselves Youth leaders, Congress should now have their important posts filled with people like Suraj Thakur; young, gutsy, dynamic and one’s who aren’t after money and chair. Suraj Thakur recently got 2 Bollywood celebrities on their knees and made them apologise for their untoward tweets. Ranveer Shourie and Tanuj Virwani had mentioned something objectionable about Rahul Gandhi and Pandit Nehru for which they were asked by Suraj to apologise publicly. A video and voice recording message was made and circulated. Tanuj Virwani, son of yesteryear actress Rati Agnihotri, (was called/or he came on his own don’t know) was called to MRCC office and was seen sitting with folded hands giving interviews to channels in front of Bhai Jagtap and Suraj Thakur. Ranveer’s call was recorded. Suraj’s rival & Mumbai Youth Congress President and MLA Zeeshan Siddique, after seeing the popularity Suraj’s efforts gathered, also made someone to apologise and shared a video. Now who is spreading this rumour that the person whom Zeeshan made to apologise had called him fat? I am sure it was nothing like that. Zeeshan too is trying to prove his mettle. Let’s give him some time. SO in the coming days Congress waalon, this will be the trend. Someone please explain other youth leaders of Congress touring Maharashtra and trying various cuisines in the name of party strengthening to stop their PR exercise and get someone to apologise as many of them call RaGa with different names everywhere.
