Rane’s slap ‘slur’, and the aftermath!

24th August 2021 will be forever etched in our ‘political’ hearts with a lot of memories. The entire day we were glued to our television sets as Maharashtra looked like a battleground. Morcha’s, pelting stones at party offices, people burning effigies, fighting on the streets as if it was a war like in the state, I was like when will this day get over. Was about to lie down and got a call from a very close associate of Rane’s breaking the news of Narayan Rane’s bail, and believe me, then I slept well, as finally somehow everything was back in control.I said control and not what will happen from the next day, but this day was over finally. Rane was back home, the media had a field day but my heart goes to those injured journalists and commoners. So be it, that’s how we fight and survive!
I was told, where Rane’s live at a stone throw where I do so, around 1500 (500 reported by press) Yuvasainik’s had gathered in the morning and they were very very aggressive. Clearly, Hero of the 1st part of the day was Varun Sardesai. With the daring that he showed coming below Rane’s house and creating a stir was unbelievable, unimaginable for many, and those who know Rane’s will second that. You can’t think of doing that to a Rane. Sloganeering, oh no, abusing Rane in broad daylight, pelting stones, holding up our ‘elite’ traffic was no mean task. Thank God, Rane’s weren’t home, else we would have seen another ‘Panipat’ at Juhu. Write it somewhere, this stunt that Varun pulled off, your next YuvaSena president post is confirmed! I might say stunt, but for him and them, it was clearly answering Rane in their own style.
Second half of the day belonged to Narayan Rane. Boss, this man does not seem to stop! Even during his Yatra, he kept on venting his anger at Sena wherever he went. Boss, he is 66, what I was or I am still worried is not how he would evade his arrest or get interim bail, I was worried for his health. Nitesh din’t look well too as he had major sore throat, guess it was after the lovely video ‘message’ he gave when the cops stopped him on the highway whilst entering where his father was. Then came a ‘stern warning’ press conference of Fadnavis where he just tore everything down systematically citing that Usmaan’s remark when he was in Maharashtra, can be tolerated, why can’t Rane’s? But Sainiks all across Maharashtra displayed what they know best. I would particularly like to mention this one person of the BJP, I don’t know, but saw his video on TV, boss when 4 to 5 Sainiks came to vandalise BJP party office at Kalyan, this man didn’t budge and fought with valour. As one my friend tweeted, Fadnavis and Chandrakant Patil should facilitate such office bearers.
Now the aftermath–What Rane said or meant by his slap ‘slur’ and that too for a person who is the CHief Minister, surely not acceptable, even though this same CM when he was just Sena Pramukh, Uddhav Thackeray has passed more objectionable remarks on others. But then he wasn’t a CM when he made those fiery speeches. Today he is. Hence not acceptable. Now, tell me in all honesty, there will be a backlash from Rane’s right? And that too in their own way. It means being aggressive and ‘Danke Ki Chot Par’ as we all know all 3 Rane’s. But will this new ‘culture’ be acceptable to the BJP? Only time will tell. My views–in fact let Rane continue to make waves with his speeches and not concentrate on vendetta.
Secondly, I failed to understand why the ‘Komdi Chor’ banner was put up by Sena everywhere. I think the ‘Komdi Chor’ (Chicken thief) tag was given earlier only by Late Balasaheb Thackeray only, but then he was made your party CM only na in 1999? Then why such banners? BJP people too call CM Uddhav Thackeray as ‘Ghar Kombada” (one who stays home) , and I was like bhai, Shravan hai, leave the poor chicken out from your banters 😄😄
Thirdly, I feel it was the call Rane received from Home Minister Amit Shah that changed the equation. This call in particular along with Fadnavis’s press must have boosted Rane’s morale to no extent. Now he knows BJP right from the top is backing him and supporting him fully. I am in fact waiting for him to remove his anger on Mike once he is back with his yatra. And the most important turning point of the day was the entry of Advocate Aniket Nikam who was flown down from Delhi to Goa and who is representing Rane’s. Today he is moving to the High Court to quash the complaint which I am sure he will do so. And those sitting at home and commenting, please it is too early for you to judge if Rane will increase the seats for the BJP or not in the upcoming BMC elections. So stop judging. As per me, if this can happen to a Rane, imagine what must be going through the minds of true BJPian’s who come from altogether a different mindset, he will abck off from taking Sena headon! Morale shouldn’t go down for the rest of BJPites, Fadnavis should take care of this!
Anyway, if Varun was flanked with Yuva Sainiks in Siddhesh Kadam and Rahul Kanal, on the other end, it was Prasad Lad and Pramod Jathar, two BJP leaders who were there to support the Rane’s. Varun should have refrained from abusing the cops. Minister Anil Parab made a boo-boo of himself when he thought how cool it is to talk wearing a mask (sound travels through the mask sir)when there is a channel boom right below your nose. TV9’s boom was actually ON and the channel didn’t care one bit to air the news and make us understand who was behind this whole drama and who was creating pressure on the cops to arrest Rane. And here we all thought, TV9 was Sena’s channel. By the way, did you read ‘elite’ English newspapers or no today? Many senior journo’s have come up with a story that the BJP cadre is angry with the induction of Rane in the BJP. Readers, don’t fall for what they write. It is strictly their point of view.
